Thabo Lisene, a Donor Educator for the SANBS, has been working in Pretoria and Rustenburg for over 4 years. He has degrees in Marketing and Communications from the University of the Free State. Thabo thinks that blood donor education's main aim is to increase knowledge, change attitudes, and beliefs in donors about self-selection and self-exclusion. Educating donors helps ease fears and build trust in the blood supply for patients.
