Samantha is an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) as well as an actor, acting coach for youth and public speaker in Manitoba, Canada. Her unique background and experiences have helped her become an expert in communication, one of the most sought-after skills in the work place. Samantha earned her Master of Clinical Science (M.Cl.Sc) degree in Speech-Language Pathology from The University of Western Ontario. She is a registered member of the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Manitoba (CASLPM) and holds clinical certification through Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC). Prior to completing her graduate work, Samantha obtained a BA (Honours) in Theatre and Film at The University of Winnipeg. During this time and in the years following her degree, she spent time working as an actor, acting instructor for children, and as an associate producer for a non-profit theatre organization in Winnipeg, MB. In 2012, she participated in Canada's National Voice Intensive, a 5-week immersive training program on the connection between the breath, body and voice. It was through her training as an actor that she discovered the field of speech-language pathology. Actors are excellent communicators and storytellers while SLP’s are experts in the science behind how and why we communicate and have the unique knowledge and training in how to teach communication skills to others. Samantha’s experiences in these fields have helped her develop exemplary interpersonal and communication skills which she uses every day. As a public speaker, Samantha has prepared and delivered a number of presentations for her community on a variety of aspects of communication. She is a lifelong learner and is passionate about self-improvement.
